BLUETTI PV200 vs PV350 — panel ladder
Next rung above PV120 vs PV200: PV200 (portable 200 W class fold) versus PV350 (350 W, 4-fold, ~13.9 kg per BLUETTI) for AC180 / AC200 / AC300-class kits. Feature-class honesty, not a winner crown. PV200 kg / Voc / prices: check current listing / label.
Honesty first (read this)
- No invented watts, harvest Wh/day, or street prices. PV350 figures are quoted from BLUETTI's US product page and PV350 user guide (checked Oct 2026): 350 W STC, Vmp 37.5 V, Imp 9.2 A, Voc 46.5 V, Isc 10.8 A, up to 23.4% cell efficiency, 4-fold, 30.6 lb / 13.9 kg, folded 905×613×65 mm, IP65, MC4, 12-month warranty. PV200 numbers: check listing / label (sibling: PV120 vs PV200).
- Watch the listing variant. BLUETTI also runs a separate "350W Solar Panel" page quoting a 33 V Voc and IP67 — a different SKU from the PV350's 46.5 V. Do not mix the two; BLUETTI's own FAQ says to use same-model panels together.
- Voc and station limits. Series strings must stay under the station's solar input voltage limit — BLUETTI states this in the PV350 guide. Planning: MPPT vs PWM · how many panels.
- Not a roof panel. BLUETTI's FAQ says PV350 should not be roof-installed; it has no USB ports (MC4 only).
Framing is planning honesty from manufacturer pages (checked Oct 2026) — not QuietWatt lab tests or solar-install advice. Estimates labelled.
Six axes that actually differ
- W class. 200 W class vs 350 W nameplate — PV350 roughly 1.75× nameplate, still below label in field sun.
- Carry weight. PV350 is ~13.9 kg per BLUETTI — a two-hand, car-side panel. PV200 is the lighter carry; confirm kg on listing. blanket vs suitcase.
- Station input ceiling. If the station's solar input is near 200 W, PV350 adds little; on AC180 / AC200 / AC300-class inputs it can matter — AC180 vs AC200L.
- When 350 is worth it. RV / base camp / outage day harvest where one bigger panel beats two small ones. Car camping: best camping.
- Connector. Both MC4 class; BLUETTI ships MC4→XT60 / aviation cables per kit — check the box list.
- When rivals win. Lighter Jackery / blanket kits for hike-in: SolarSaga 40 vs 80 · SolarSaga 100 vs 200.
