Air fryer blackout — Wh honesty
When mid stations struggle with 1,200–1,800 W heaters + fans — vs microwave reheats and induction pans.
Vs microwave / induction — when mid stations struggle
- Nameplate heat on many air fryers is 1,200–1,700 W continuous while preheating and crisping — the continuous-W gate mid boxes fail.
- Vs microwave: microwaves also pull hard but for shorter bursts; air fryers often run 10–25 min — see microwave honesty.
- Vs induction: similar heating-element class; induction may throttle, air fryers want steady high W — see induction.
- Wh burns fast. At 1,500 W, 1 kWh ≈ ~30–35 min of fry time — a batch or two, not a feast.
- Small / 1–2 L units sometimes draw less — measure; don’t assume “mini” means mid-station safe.

| Model | Wh · continuous AC | When mid stations struggle | Vs microwave / induction | Approx. USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus Struggle | 286 Wh · 600 W (X-Boost 1,200 W) | Typical air fryer out of class. | Microwave reheat may also lose — see that page. | ~$180–300 |
| Anker SOLIX C300 | 288 Wh · 300 W | Loses hard. | Use slow cooker instead. | ~$200–280 |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Brief? | 1,070 Wh · 1,500 W | May run a 1,500 W fryer briefly — mid stations still struggle on bigger units. | Similar continuous gate to induction/microwave peaks. | ~$499–589 |
| BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 | 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W | Better headroom — still a short batch tool, not dinner service. | Wh cost often worse than a microwave reheat. | ~$380–500 |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Expand | 1,056 Wh → 2,112 Wh · 1,800 W | Extra Wh for a second batch — continuous W unchanged. | Don’t stack with induction at the same time. | ~$400–600 |
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W class | Stronger mid chance for one honest batch. | Still harsher Wh than crockpot / rice paths. | ~$600–900+ |
| BLUETTI AC200L Best chance | 2,048 Wh · 2,400 W class | Best W/Wh in this set for a few batches — mid struggle eases, Wh still limited. | Prefer microwave for reheat; air fry for crisp only. | ~$800–1,100 |
