Cool-mist / ultrasonic humidifier — Wh honesty

Low continuous draw — often fine overnight on mid stations. Not a dehumidifier (that page is the Wh-hungry cousin). Cross-link: baby gear · electric blanket · CPAP overnight.

Often fine overnight — humidifier ≠ dehumidifier

  • Cool-mist / ultrasonic is cheap Wh. Many units pull ~15–50 W continuous (sometimes less on low). A mid ~1 kWh station can often cover a full night with headroom for phone, LED, or router (estimates).
  • Not the dehumidifier page. Compressors for drying air are 200–700 W continuous — mid stations struggle. See dehumidifier honesty. Adding moisture is the opposite job and the opposite Wh bill.
  • Vs heatwave fan / AC: for comfort, a fan is still the Wh-cheap path in heat — heatwave fan vs AC. Humidifiers are winter / dry-air / nursery tools, not cooling.
  • Nursery / baby note: quiet cool-mist units often fit a blackout nursery stack with monitor and night-light — size loads on baby gear blackout. Not infant-care or medical advice; clean tanks per manufacturer.
  • CPAP / blanket combo: humidifier + CPAP or electric blanket can still fit a mid station overnight when measured — add watts, don’t guess. Skip stacking a space heater. Apartment readers: apartment blackouts.

Specs from manufacturer pages (checked Oct 2026). Runtime figures are estimates. Not medical, infant-care, or mold advice — follow tank hygiene and manufacturer guidance.

Overnight Wh estimates

Hours ≈ (rated Wh × 0.85) ÷ humidifier watts.

Low ~20 W

Mid overnight

1 kWh ≈ ~40+ h (est.) — lots of headroom

Typical ~35 W

Mid easy night

1 kWh ≈ ~24 h; 8 h night ≈ ~0.3 kWh (estimates)

Vs dehumidifier

Humidifier wins

Same Wh: nights of mist vs hours of compressor — dehumidifier

Comparison: humidifier-duty honesty

Filter by overnight fit for cool-mist / ultrasonic humidifiers.

Model Wh · continuous AC Overnight fit Vs dehumidifier / nursery honesty Approx. USD
EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus Short 286 Wh · 600 W Often a full night at ~25–40 W with little left over. Still beats trying a dehumidifier on this box. ~$180–300
Anker SOLIX C300 288 Wh · 300 W Similar — continuous W clears; Wh is the soft gate. Save headroom for monitor / phone if nursery priority. ~$200–280
Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Overnight 1,070 Wh · 1,500 W Easy overnight + extras at typical mist watts (estimates). Humidifier wins vs dehumidifier by a wide margin. ~$499–589
BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W Similar ~1 kWh overnight math — measure unit watts once. Good mid path for dry-air comfort without compressor waste. ~$380–500
Anker SOLIX C1000 Expand 1,056 Wh → 2,112 Wh · 1,800 W Expand packs help multi-night or humidifier + blanket / CPAP stacks. Add loads from baby gear before promising the nursery stack. ~$400–600
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W class Solid overnight mist + light extras (phone, LED, router). Still skip dehumidifier / AC on battery — fans for heat. ~$600–900+
BLUETTI AC200L Best headroom 2,048 Wh · 2,400 W class Best Wh in this set for mist + CPAP + blanket + storm extras. Pair with blanket / CPAP — still not a dehumidifier budget. ~$800–1,100
