Anker (SOLIX) vs Jackery — feature-class honesty

Two brand families renters and campers search hard for apartment blackouts, camping, and day-trip kits. This page compares feature classes (portability/weight, expandability, app, solar input, LiFePO₄ lines, noise) — not a winner crown. Model specs and street prices move; confirm on the linked official pages / current listing.

Honesty first (read this)

  • No invented prices or “today’s deal.” Where QuietWatt already published estimate bands on sibling pages, we reuse those and label them. Otherwise: check current listing / host-owned MSRP.
  • Feature-class, not scoreboard. Jackery often leads QuietWatt’s tracked ~1 kWh class on stairs-friendly weight (Explorer 1000 v2). Anker SOLIX often leads on expand path + app/ecosystem density in the C1000-class kits QuietWatt cites. Neither wins every apartment, camping, or day-trip job.
  • Wh + continuous watts still decide the job. Brand loyalty does not start a fridge or buy multi-day runtime — see Wh class guide · peak vs continuous watts.
  • Chemistry default in 2026 mid kits: both brands’ ~1 kWh apartment SKUs QuietWatt tracks are LiFePO₄-labelled — LiFePO₄ vs NMC.

Specs and claims below are from manufacturer product pages / QuietWatt sibling citations (checked Oct 2026). Figures are estimates / manufacturer claims — not QuietWatt lab tests. Not electrical or emergency-planning advice.

Six axes that actually differ

  • Portability / weight. Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is QuietWatt’s lightest ~1 kWh LFP cite (~23.8 lb / 10.8 kg mfr). Anker SOLIX C1000-class boxes are often a few pounds heavier when expand-ready. Stairs first: stairs / lightest.
  • Expandability. Anker SOLIX C1000 cites a BP1000 extra-battery path (toward ~2 kWh class on sibling pages). Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 / many day-trip SKUs QuietWatt tracks stay fixed capacity — buy bigger up front or a second station. Multi-day path: expandable / multi-day.
  • App / ecosystem. Both ship phone apps for SOC and charge limits on current mid kits. Anker’s SOLIX app + accessory story is often denser in QuietWatt’s mid-catalog notes; Jackery’s app covers similar SOC / modes on Explorer lines — confirm firmware for your SKU.
  • Solar input. Both accept official foldable panels / SolarSaga-class kits. Max solar watts and connector kits differ by SKU (e.g. Jackery 1000 v2 often ~400 W ceiling; Anker C1000 Gen 2 kit cites higher add-panel headroom on sibling solar pages). Bundle honesty: solar bundles under ~$1,500. Controller type: MPPT vs PWM.
  • LiFePO₄ lines. Explorer 1000 v2 and SOLIX C1000 QuietWatt cites are LFP-labelled. Cycle claims are manufacturer copy (often ~3,000–4,000 to 70–80%) — treat as order-of-magnitude. Chemistry deep dive: LiFePO₄ vs NMC.
  • Noise. Light-load fans on both brands are often apartment-neighbour friendly; heavy inverter loads wake fans. Use-case: quietest / dB.

When each brand’s class tends to fit

Apartment blackout

Either · match Wh

~1 kWh LFP + enough continuous/surge watts for fridge + Wi‑Fi. Explorer 1000 v2 for stairs weight; SOLIX C1000 if you want expand later. See apartment blackouts · under ~$500.

Camping / day-trip

Weight first

Jackery’s ~1 kWh weight story often wins car-camp carry and walk-in pitches. Anker still fine if expand/app matters more than a few pounds. Noise: quietest / dB.

Expand later / solar headroom
