Cordless tool charger — Wh honesty
Short charge cycles for drill / impact / circular-saw packs — often fine on mid stations for a garage or shop kit. Not the same job as continuous outdoor tools or a full e-bike pack. Cross-link: garage door opener · e-bike charge · motorcycle camping.
Tool-pack charging — short cycles, not yard-day runtime
- Charger watts, not motor watts. A 18 V / 20 V pack charger often pulls ~60–200 W while topping a pack; the drill itself is not on the station. Wh cost is pack Wh ÷ efficiency — a 5 Ah / ~90 Wh pack is a short station hit (estimates).
- Mid stations usually clear a few packs. A ~1 kWh / 1,000–1,800 W class box can typically run OEM chargers for several packs with headroom for shop lights and phone — vs long continuous yard tools (see leaf blower honesty).
- Vs garage-door opener: opener is a brief motor surge for egress; tool charging is a steady low-mid W brick for 30–90 minutes. Both fit mid kits; neither is whole-home backup — garage door opener.
- Vs e-bike charge: e-bike / e-scooter packs are often 400–700 Wh+ and longer wall-brick sessions — bigger Wh bite than a single drill pack. See e-bike charge; field / touring path: motorcycle camping power.
- Condo / garage stack: pair tool charging with opener cycles and lights — not dryer/AC. Multi-day shop resilience needs expand packs — expandable multi-day. Shared buildings: condo / no generator.

Tool-charger Wh estimates
Hours ≈ (rated Wh × 0.85) ÷ charger watts · pack Wh ≈ V × Ah (nominal) — short cycles win.

Filter by whether a station clears short OEM tool-charger cycles for a garage/shop kit.
| Model | Wh · continuous AC | Tool-charger fit | Vs garage-door / e-bike | Approx. USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus Thin | 286 Wh · 600 W | Maybe one small pack if charger stays under ~200 W — tight. | Keep for phone/lights; don’t promise a shop day. | ~$180–300 |
| Anker SOLIX C300 | 288 Wh · 300 W | Often clears a modest single-bay charger; dual docks may trip continuous W. | Not an e-bike pack plan — e-bike charge. | ~$200–280 |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 Few packs | 1,070 Wh · 1,500 W | Strong mid path for several 18/20 V packs (estimates). | Pairs with a few opener cycles + shop light. | ~$499–589 |
| BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 | 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W | Similar mid — short charge cycles usually fine. | Still not continuous corded yard tools. | ~$380–500 |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Expand | 1,056 Wh → 2,112 Wh · 1,800 W | Expand packs help multi-day garage kits, not charger W. | See expandable multi-day. | ~$400–600 |
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W class | Solid shop stack: chargers + lights + modem. | Condo / HOA limits — condo / no gen. | ~$600–900+ |
| BLUETTI AC200L Best headroom | 2,048 Wh · 2,400 W class | Best Wh in this set for multi-pack + storm extras. | Touring / field: motorcycle camping. | ~$800–1,100 |
