Space heater blackout — Wh honesty
A portable station usually loses to a space heater — 1,500 W resistive heat empties a 1 kWh box in under an hour. Safer heat options on battery, plus when a generator still wins. Cross-link: heatwave fan vs AC · generator vs battery.
Usually loses — safer battery heat
- 1,500 W ceramic / oil / fan heaters need continuous AC most mid stations can’t hold — and Wh dies in ~30–40 minutes even when they can.
- Low / eco modes (600–900 W) still punish camping batteries; measure before you trust a label.
- Safer on battery: layered clothing, hot water bottle, heated blanket / mattress pad (often 50–150 W), USB heated vest, seal drafts — not a room heater fantasy.
- Fire / CO honesty. Battery stations make no exhaust; fuel heaters and generators have different risks — see generator vs battery. Follow heater and station manuals; keep clearances.
- Summer cousin (cooling Wh): heatwave fan vs AC.

| Model | Wh · continuous AC | Space heater honesty | Safer battery path | Approx. USD |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus Lose | 286 Wh · 600 W (X-Boost 1,200 W) | 1,500 W heater out of class. | USB heated gear / blanket if under continuous W. | ~$180–300 |
| Anker SOLIX C300 Blanket? | 288 Wh · 300 W | Loses to room heaters. | Low-watt heated pad / vest if <300 W. | ~$200–280 |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 1,070 Wh · 1,500 W | May start a 1,500 W heater — empties in ~30 min. Not a plan. | Overnight blanket / pad; short low-mode burst only. | ~$499–589 |
| BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 | 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W | Same Wh trap — continuous may clear, hours won’t. | Personal heat wins; room heat → generator or grid. | ~$380–500 |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 Expand | 1,056 Wh → 2,112 Wh · 1,800 W | 2 kWh ≈ ~1 h at 1,500 W — still usually loses the night. | Expanded packs help blankets more than heaters. | ~$400–600 |
| EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus | 1,024 Wh · 1,800 W class | Can feed many heaters briefly — Wh honesty unchanged. | Emergency warm-up only; long heat → gen vs battery. | ~$600–900+ |
| BLUETTI AC200L Best buffer | 2,048 Wh · 2,400 W class | Best Wh in this set for a short heater window — still not overnight room heat. | Prefer ~100 W personal heat for multi-hour comfort. | ~$800–1,100 |
