PlayStation / Xbox / Switch — Wh honesty

Switch handheld wins on Wh; docked PS5 / Xbox + TV is a heavier evening. Compare gaming PC UPS and TV + streaming. Online play still needs Wi‑Fi / modem.

Switch vs TV console — mid stations are not a PC budget

  • Switch (handheld) is cheap Wh. Many handheld sessions sit ~5–15 W from the OEM charger or USB-C PD. A small/mid station can cover hours of handheld play with headroom (estimates).
  • Docked Switch / PS5 / Xbox + TV is the real bill. Consoles often pull ~70–200 W+ in play (model and load matter); add TV watts from TV + streaming honesty. Mid ~1 kWh can still do an evening session — measure once.
  • Vs gaming PC UPS: desktops with GPUs often exceed console draw and surge harder — gaming PC UPS. Consoles are usually the lighter living-room path; PCs need more continuous W and Wh honesty.
  • Online / downloads need the network. Keep modem/router on the same plan — Wi‑Fi backup. Apartment and office stacks: apartment blackouts · home office UPS.
  • Not a whole-home gaming promise. Skip stacking space heaters, window AC, or a full PC + console + TV on one mid box. Pure sine helps sensitive PSUs; check manufacturer AC input notes.

Anker SOLIX C1000 Expand 1,056 Wh → 2,112 Wh · 1,800 W Expand packs help multi-session or console + router stacks. Add Wi‑Fi watts before promising online play. ~$400–600
